1.0 Welcome

The Sony Pictures Digital Migration Tools are used to migrate your user information, rendering templates, and licenses from existing Sonic Foundry applications to Sony Pictures Digital applications.

2.0 Known Issues

If you are logged on as an administrator when the migration tools are used and then log on as a regular user, rendering templates will not be transferred for every user account. Licenses and user information will be transferred correctly.

3.0 Installation

The Migration Tools are automatically installed when you install a Sony Pictures Digital application.

4.0 Running the Tools

The tools are run when you install a Sony Pictures Digital application, and your user information, rendering templates, and software licenses are updated automatically.

Because file-rendering templates are stored in each user's application data area, you'll need to run the Migrate Sonic Foundry Templates to Sony utility if you install a Sony Pictures Digital application from a different user account than the account you use to run the application.
